When I was young, it was almost a daily bedtime ritual for my mother or father to read to me before I went to sleep. When I was old enough I started to read to them occasionally. We read all sorts of stories. My favorites were always the ones you could get lost in, stories that took you away to another world or another time.
My interests have grown over the years to more than just books. All my life I have consumed narratives in the form of movies, games, and other mediums. My taste in genre has broadened. My preference for fantastical escapism has remained. This blog will be a place for celebrating fiction that allows us to take a break from a reality that can so often be burdensome.
